Visual effects and digital compositing are fundamental tools to expand the boundaries of what is filmed on set. Through high-precision rotoscoping, 3D tracking, and photorealistic integration, we solve complex audiovisual challenges for advertising, film, and television, ensuring digital elements coexist with reality seamlessly.
In this highly technical project, we partnered with creative agency Beavoir to modernize the visual identity of Bombardier and Global aircraft fleets. The challenge consisted of executing a complete digital "refit" on archival aerial footage, adapting the fuselage paint design to contemporary standards with flawless photorealistic integration. The process required not only mastery of compositing but a deep understanding of how light and textures interact on metallic surfaces at high speeds.
We implemented an Autodesk Maya-based workflow for 3D tracking, guaranteeing the new fuselage design maintained its precise perspective in every frame of the aerial shots. We performed meticulous rotoscoping to isolate the aircraft, followed by a rigorous compositing process in After Effects where we adjusted reflections, textures, and color correction to organically merge the new design with the original environment, removing any trace of digital intervention.
For the series "Dino Exploradores" (produced by Cábala Producciones for NTV), the challenge was to turn the film set into an interactive technological ecosystem. The premise placed the child researchers in an advanced observatory where scientific information was visualized through complex interfaces. Our job was to ensure these graphics became a coherent and realistic part of the show's narrative language.
We used a complex layered compositing technique that allowed the graphics displayed on monitors, mobile devices, and holographic projections to react dynamically to the set's lighting, reflections, and the actors' movements. This level of detail allowed live conversations with scientists, alongside animated illustrations, to achieve a unified and immersive visual language, ultimately strengthening the series' realism and overall quality.
